TBN's Acquisition Of 'Holy Land Experience' Theme Park Seeks To Change More Lives

June 9, 2007 ORLANDO -- Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN), the world's largest religious broadcaster and America's most-watched faith channel, hopes to change more lives through its addition of the "Holy Land Experience" theme park in Orlando, Fl., to the TBN family. Through the acquisition, TBN will bring an integration of the powerful living recreation of ancient Jerusalem with a cutting edge facility that will be used for television production, dramas, musical concerts, special events and movies.

"This marriage will bring an unprecedented synergy to both ministries and the production that is done there will be seen by a worldwide audience. TBN's involvement made sense, because both ministries are about changing and effecting people's lives. We've been doing that for 34 years," said Paul Crouch, Jr., TBN Vice President of Administration. "We believe this opportunity was heaven sent because it bought TBN an Orlando-based facility to fulfill it's local programming obligations for WGTL CH-52 and it will provide "The Holy Land Experience" with much needed promotion to bring more people to the theme park and Orlando as a whole."

The Holy Land Experience could well be considered Orlando's most inspiring destination as visitors experience a full day of discovery that takes them 2,000 years back in time to the world of the Bible. It brings to life ancient Israel as a unique, thriving world filled with fascinating exhibits and venues. Visitors learn about the Wilderness Tabernacle and the Great Temple; discover the amazing history of the Bible; explore the city of Jerusalem in miniature; see re-enactments of Jesus' ministry, His life, death, and resurrection; and feel the power and passion of our original musical productions.

WGTL TV, Channel 52, has a reach of over four million viewers in the Orlando and Cocoa Beach metropolitan areas with TBN's wide range of innovative faith-based programming. In October of 2006, TBN celebrated the inaugural broadcast of WGTL Ch-52 in Orlando with a dedicatory service attended by TBN founders Paul and Jan Crouch, Pastor Benny Hinn, Singer and Preacher Judy Jacobs hosted by Pastor George Cope and Calvary Assembly in Winter Park, Fl.

The combination of the production facilities and the Holy Land Experience offers Orlando visitors a powerful and unique faith based experience that can be promoted worldwide through the TBN network. The promotional capability can drive visitors to the complex.

"Some of the staff was asking what is going to be the immediate effect here at the park and my answer was 'I'm planning on you having more people coming through the turnstiles this summer,'" said Crouch. "Universal Studios does the same thing. We want the 'Holy Land Experience' to be a faith-based version of that."

Clothing Company has Radical Message for Liberals Condemning God

By Rick Wade

2006-03-08 -- WDC Media News -- WDC Media News A Florida-based Internet Christian clothing company is gaining momentum in its campaign against liberal efforts to remove God from government and culture. Following the worldwide media attention it received for its T-shirt design attacking the movie BrokeBack Mountain for its glorification of homosexual behavior, Second Coming Clothing Co. has introduced a new Scripture-based T-shirt, one that Second Coming CEO Rick Wade said targets an anti-God element that is rampant in America. “Our newest design declares that ‘Those That Damn God in This Nation Shall Face Eternal Damnation,’” said Wade. “We introduced this T-shirt to give Christians the opportunity to make a bold declaration that the power of life and death and eternity is in God’s hands.” The Scripture that accompanies the T-shirt design, 2nd Chronicles 7:14, reads, “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then I will hear from heaven, and forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” The shirt gives a compelling message that, void of national repentance and God’s mercy, America is headed for certain destruction. “We have allowed the covenant with God under which this country was established to be torn away so that we no longer stand on a solid foundation of truth,” explained Wade. “That truth is found in God’s Word. But God’s Word has been removed from the halls of government – which should be embracing it -- and from our schools, which should be teaching it.” Wade noted that as the Ten Commandments and prayer have been removed from a place of prominence and honor, America has suffered an unprecedented moral decay. “With nearly every avenue of God’s message being systematically cut off, this country is in grave danger of being cut off from God’s blessings and grace,” said Wade. “When that happens, we won’t be looking at an outside enemy threatening us. Every nation throughout history that has allowed such moral and spiritual decay has been eliminated from existence.” Second Coming Clothing Company’s previous controversial T-shirt design, which challenged the pro-homosexual message in the Academy-Award winning movie “Brokeback Mountain,” prompted major media attention and a full-scale assault from militant gay activists. “We received quite a few unprintable e-mails through our website” recalled Wade. “It was really sad to read such disparaging remarks, like, ‘If Jesus comes back, we will kill him again.’ But we are certain that our message is bringing God’s conviction to many people. Some will ultimately turn to Christ.” In November 2005 Second Coming Clothing Co. unveiled a national print advertising campaign with its trademarked slogan, “Take Your Faith Out of the Closet, and Put Our Clothes Back In”™. “Our Faith in Jesus Christ needs to be taken out of our hearts and worn on the sleeves of our daily walk in life as we witness to others and take an affirmative stand in controversial issues before it is too late,” said Wade. He explained that Second Coming Clothing Co.(www.secondcomingclothing.com) was started as a way to allow believers to “Wear the Mission” of preaching the gospel message. “We are not just another Christian T-shirt company,” said Wade. Noting that 100 percent of the company’s net profit will go toward humanitarian aid worldwide, he said that the focus of the company is to “burst open the Heavens through our Internet sales so that we can bless those who are less fortunate and in so much need.” For ordering information, visit www.secondcomingclothing.com.
